A cute little book store on Van Ness Avenue! The staff were super helpful and sweet. They were doing a “romance buy one get one free” deal, and I got two books that are not on the “romance” shelf but I personally (with my very limited literary knowledge 😋) categorized as romances, and they accept the bundle! Anyway, I had a great time browsing through the well-organized books here. It’s a great selection of books too!nn(2026 Feb 7)

Great bookstore with friendly staff. I’d give a 5-star rating but they close at 6PM every day. I just got out of work and was hoping to shop here. It’s closed. Just disappointed.

Great selection and I love how they organize and display their collection! They also have a few sale tables in the back that cut the price of some really phenomenal books in half! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they have some really cute store bookmarks. Very pleasant experience, and it's right by a Peet's Coffee. Definitely recommend pairing your new book with a tasty beverage of your choice.

I was looking for books about birds. And this place didn't disappoint me.nnI was also asked (as a favor) to get One Nation Under Blackmail, but only the Vol.1 was readily available. Then, the store owner was kind enough to help me get the Vol.2.nThe estimated arrival of the said book was 2-3 days. It arrived just the day after my request. What a service.nnThey got a handful of books about birds, but there's not much space in my luggage. But still, I had to choose two from the stack. One was on sale, so it was a steal. I just couldn't pass it up.

An excellent store with superb titles to suit all readers of all age groups. The staff is very helpful and extremely well read. Cafe next door might offer a discount too if you picked a book or two and sipped coffee. The cafe has wifi. You could do some online searches.
