Wonderful little shop with lots of cool vintage items and some modern books and art mixed in. You could look around the shop for a few hours and still not discover every treasure that's in it. The owners are very friendly and approachable, I have pretty bad anxiety yet felt very welcome. I highly recommend anyone in the Garfield park area with curiosity to drop in, or anyone in Indy who has a typewriter that needs fixing!

What a lovely addition to Garfield Park! I have been living in this neighborhood for a while now and have been hoping something would reoccupy the little strip we have on Shelby St. We’ve been needing a revitalization here for a while now, and when I heard we were getting a Type/bookshop it felt like the perfect fit.nnMy partner and I have visited a few times now and each visit we’ve been welcomed by Adam and Siren (the owners). They have a real enthusiasm about this store and they’re super friendly to talk with, very knowledgeable too! I’m looking forward to the events they plan to host there and i’ll be getting more zines soon!

Such a dream of a business to open so close to me! My partner and I wandered in before their official open and Adam and Siren were both so welcoming and incredibly helpful in terms of navigating us towards good, eclectic finds. It does my heart good to have another space with good people who are good at what they do and love sharing that knowledge ❤️ I can't wait to become a regular and see what this place does and becomes within the community. Thanks for all you do, y'all!

Siren and Adam are not only amazing people but also wonderful artists. They are very knowledgeable about the items they sell. Their shop is a place for everyone, where you will feel safe, heard, seen, and loved. They have materials for the masses and TEA. If you're looking for a place to chill, listen to poetry or try out your own, and learn how to use a typewriter with people from all walks of life, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! ❤️🥰😎

A nostalgia and retro lovers dream! I could have spent hours perusing the shelves of books alone. The typewriters are so unique and the owner is very knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging! 10/10 recommend checking this place out (especially on a nice rainy day)
