The Ohio State University Bookstore is located on the second floor, with a souvenir shop occupying the ground level. Even on the second floor, a significant portion of the space is still dedicated to OSU-themed merchandise and stationery, leaving only a relatively small section for actual books.nnFor a bookstore affiliated with such a large university, the selection of books feels surprisingly limited. One might expect a vast collection covering various academic and literary fields, but the available options fall short of that expectation. In particular, the selection of non-fiction books is disappointingly small. Given the size and reputation of Ohio State University, the bookstore could benefit from a broader range of titles, including more academic and general interest books.nnWhile the store does serve its purpose by providing textbooks and OSU-branded items, it feels more like a souvenir and supply shop rather than a true university bookstore. If you're looking for university merchandise, this is a great place to visit. However, if you're hoping to browse a diverse and extensive book collection, you may find the selection underwhelming.
Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. So you rent a textbook, are told to turn it in after your last final, last final isn't over until after your store closes, then you don't open until late the following morning – all while some students have early flights home for the holidays… thanks for the textbooks we no longer need, but now own. Complete sham of a program and not in the best interest of the students. What a blatant money grab and a ripoff. This is the kind of policy that makes loan sharks look kind and benevolent.
Very nice, and big bookstore along with OSU apparel. I thought the apparel was a pricey, but I guess you can't stop that with the licensing agreements and so on. Good customer service as well.
All the clothing in the store is really nice, it has great books, and all is amazing quality. But the fact that we went there a couple months ago and came back today there was still no air conditioning is insane. The prices are out of this world and I understand that these are high quality brands but it still blows my mind. One of the cashiers has no idea what to do and was basically lost. I understand she was probably a student but she should’ve still had proper training. She scanned one of our items twice and I understand everyone makes mistakes yet still if we didn’t have noticed the price was way too high she would’ve charged us extra. The 50% off from the Lululemon collection only applies to some of the clothing which most people haven’t bought and I honestly think it is not fair. Either way aside from those inconveniences the quality is great and all the other staff was really nice.
I came to buy scrubs with the OSU embroidered logo for the vet school. You can find them on the second floor. The scrubs are $32 bucks in store, but the website has it a different price. (Way cheaper and you can order for pick up at the store 2nd floor)nnThere is low staffing available, it was hard for me to find the fitting rooms because of this. (It’s on the first floor in the back).nnI was surprised that it wasn’t that busy the week before classes start, but that may not always be the case
