Wonderful owner and amazing Latin American and queer related books ranging from fiction to non fiction! This is now my go to bookstore. The prices are about the same as Barnes and Noble. Since they’re all primarily new books. ALSO they do provide FREE MASKS at the door as soon as you walk they will be on your left. This may bother some people but it’s rare to see there still places who require masks to come in. Which is fine.

To the woman working at the counter, my sniffling wasn’t sickness: I was tearful as I browsed your store because I thought I’d found a place that I was seen and welcomed. Then you forced a mask on me with the thinly veiled threat that it was required or get out. I understand wearing a mask yourself if immunocompromised but to make others adhere to your will when the pandemic has ended (it’s 2025), was too much. If one is so impaired they cannot breathe others’ air, please do not be in public spaces. One must take care of themselves. But as (presumably) the owner, you can conduct your business as you want. Just know it drove me out and left me feeling unwelcome. And I was so excited to support your business. I’ve been there before but after this, I won’t be back.nnSuch a sad experience with a beautifully promising space.nnEdit for owner response: I appreciate your concerns for one’s own health. I’ve had immunocompromised family who had to take extra precautions themselves. Everyone must do what they think is right in this life. I hope you are well going forward.

This place is incredible. The staff are incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. The book and merch collection is always so exciting to go through. My favorite part though is that they are huge members of the community. They stand by what they preach and host/are involved in events for women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community.

I knew I'd fall in love with this store just by the window art. I felt welcomed and at home. Very friendly and helpful. There was such a wide variety of beautiful books, art, and gifts. Every black childrens book on my internet wishlist was in store! My son sat and read books in the children's section for 30 minutes, he was so cozy. I can't wait to go back.
