Official synopsis Publisher
Sent to spend the summer at the mountain home of her grandmother, whom she only met once as a child, 17-year-old Myla Carter has no inkling of the adventure she is about to embark on. Her first impression is that her grandmother looks far too young for her age and that her house seems too empty to be called home. That same evening, coming downstairs, she overhears a conversation in the kitchen in which a “Stone Ship” and potential danger are mentioned, but her grandmother makes light of it and suggests a good night’s sleep. The next morning, Myla awakens to find herself alone in the old house on the mountain. Her grandmother seems to have vanished and there’s no phone or neighbor within walking distance. As evening approaches, a strange man appears, urging her to go with him and explaining that he’s come at the request of her grandmother to take her to safety. He introduces himself as Zeph, and she recognizes his voice as the one she heard the night before in the kitchen. Still hesitant, however, Myla tries to get more information, but she’s out of time, for there are 2 cars arriving whose occupants seem to be bent on kidnapping her! Hoping to get answers to all her questions, she agrees to accompany Zeph, racing up the mountain in a jeep with the kidnappers close behind. What happens when they arrive at the Stone Ship makes her certain that from here on in, there will be no going back.
