Gone In Rachel

A crack of light crept over the horizon, the first glimpse of light after a seemingly eternal spell of darkness during the cold night. The salty sea air swept through the small town, seeping into the cracks of buildings like the old motel and the small diner across the way. The roads were empty. No one dared to leave their warm abodes to face the frigid elements. Seagulls swooped overhead squawking as they flew toward the ocean, as if to signal the new dawn, and to greet the small population to the fresh morning. It was a very picturesque setting; quiet, as if the town itself was too tired to awaken yet. Charlie is an experienced homicide detective whose seen it all. But when he discovers a strange and old case file detailing a disappearance from a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, he’s forced to throw away everything he knows and shift from the feel of a big city, and adapt to the surroundings of a minuscule town. As Charlie ventures forward in this mystery, things become more surreal, with suspicions rising from every direction. But when questions begin to pile on to more questions, it becomes up to Charlie to solve this mystery and bring the perpetrators to justice.
