It has been said that a mother’s love has no bounds. Have you ever wondered how far that love should go? Should a mother love so much that she allows herself to be erased? Should she give up on personal happiness for a child? Is it possible to be happy as a woman and still be a mother? These are the questions ANNIE STECK must ask as she finds herself surrounded by six feet of snow on top of Colorado’s Red Mountain. She hadn’t planned on ending up in this tiny cabin with Gabe, the adventurer from Canada, who had squeezed her tightly held secrets from her, nor had she planned to feel this way about him. Was she falling in love just because she was going to die in this frozen wasteland? What would her husband and daughter think? Annie vowed to share her thoughts with Gabe the next morning, but their untimely rescue took all those options from her. Finding herself back in Nevada, her life unraveling in front of her, she must find the courage to make a new pathway for herself. Unfortunately, her daughter does not understand her life-saving decision, and refuses to speak to her mother. With more doors being shut to her in Nevada, Annie decides to go back to the place where she was happiest. However, a terrible and great sadness is the price she pays for finding herself returning to the mountains of Colorado. Annie felt she had to leave Nevada and hoped that in her absence her daughter would forgive and return to her. Annie journeys back to Ouray, Colorado, back to the place where she had begun to find herself. She is alone; facing her demons, begins a journey of self-discovery and opens her heart to love and life again.
