Equal parts comic book store and pinball arcade. The decor is top notch and they have an excellent collection of pinball tables with a few arcade cabinets smattered in for good measure. Very relaxed vibe and great selection of books and comics as well.
This place is fantastic! Revenge Of is a terrific combination of comic book store and arcade that anyone is likely to find in Los Angeles. There was a wide selection of graphic novels of all genres, new comic book titles, games and cards in the first portion of the store. The second portion of the store held about 15 pinball machines all in excellent working order, in addition to a two player multicade machine and a standalone Track and Field machine. As a added touch, there is also a screen at the far end which plays trailers from old (50s and 60s) science fiction films. The last third of the store is the largest, which incorporates back issue comics, more pinball machines, and other collectables. I went early in the day so it wasn't crowded, but I can see it getting a little cozy in the first two sections when the store gets busy. The decor is a fusion of comic book store and retro 50s science fiction and it reminded me of the Frys Electronics in Burbank (RIP). Overall, a must visit.
Great for playing pinball. Many modern Stern (and all are the better Premium models). Plus very well maintained – including the older ones (some of my all-time favorites like Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Cactus Canyon). Drinks very fair prices, too.
Very cool comic/game shop & pinball arcade! They got some good selection of premade sandwiches, and healthier snack & canned beverage options than you would expected! I highly recommend it!
I'm visiting from France and stopped by yesterday during my vacation. This was an incredible experience! The pinball machines are extremely well maintained and feel amazing to play on. I ended up staying for 6 hours and only spent $15, which is fantastic value. You can tell the people who work here are truly passionate about pinball. If you love pinball, this place is a must-visit.
