I absolutely love The Libros Bookstore in Lincoln Heights! While they do a fantastic job highlighting Latino and Los Angeles-based literature, their collection actually spans a wide range of genres, voices, and international authors. From rare printings to contemporary titles, there’s something for every kind of reader. The owner, Jesse is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, and you can feel the passion he pours into curating and running this unique independent bookstore. Whether you’re looking to discover new authors, find a special edition, or just enjoy a cozy, book-filled environment, this is the place to go!

This isn’t another overpriced coffee shop or a discount clothing store—it’s a place where imagination soars, writers find inspiration, and authors are encouraged to share their art. If you haven’t guessed it yet, it’s exactly the kind of space every neighborhood needs, and Lincoln Heights is lucky to have it.nnThis bookstore truly supports fledgling writers, encourages literacy, and even helped spark the East Los Book Festival. It’s a cultural gem that brings community, creativity, and stories together under one roof. Keep up the great work—you’re making a real difference.

Phenomenal store, wonderful proprietor, great prices. I was pleasantly surprised too discover a great variety of books for a store of it's size. The last time I was there, I bought books for kids, history, and a biography.

Great bookstore. I was in a poetry reading outside it. It was magical.

This is a really nice little independent book store. It seems focused on Latino and Los Angeles based literature but has many other types of books as well and a good deal of rare printings. The Jesse's (shop owners) I met there were very knowledgeable and welcoming. It seems to me that they put a great deal of time and energy into this business and so if you support that kind of thing, you owe it to yourself to go check it out.
