I’ve been a Barnes & Noble member for almost eight years, and this Goodyear location remains my absolute favorite bookstore. Every visit feels like a small retreat: I grab a coffee, find a cozy nook, and settle in for a couple of peaceful hours of reading and studying. The store is always immaculately clean and well organized, with plenty of comfortable seating areas, quiet corners to read, and generous parking right out front. The restrooms are spotless, the atmosphere is calm, and the staff genuinely care about helping you find what you need.nnA heartfelt shout-out to Ms. Judith — she was such a warm, humble, and thoughtful presence during my visit. We had a wonderful, meaningful conversation about faith and sisterhood in Christ, and she helped me pick the perfect books. I also met Ms. Destiny, who was incredibly helpful when I needed recommendations for pens and art supplies. The staff here are knowledgeable, friendly, and make the whole bookstore experience feel personal and welcoming.nnThis store truly carries everything. The book selection spans an enormous range of genres and categories — from general fiction, literary fiction, historical fiction, mystery & crime, thrillers, romance, horror, science fiction & fantasy, graphic novels & comics, poetry, and westerns, to an extensive nonfiction section with biography & memoir, history, business, politics & current affairs, religion & spirituality, cookbooks & food, health & fitness, self-help & relationships, science, travel, and art & photography. They also have full sections for children’s books, young adult, parenting, education, reference, and special interest areas — plus stationery, art supplies, and photography gear. In short: whether you love horror, romance, literary fiction, biography, cookbooks, art books, or children’s picture books, this Barnes & Noble has you covered. nnThe in-store experience is wonderful:n•tA lovely café where I enjoy my coffee while I read.n•tLots of nooks and tables perfect for studying, journaling, or just lingering with a good book.n•tA wide selection of stationery, pens, planners, and art supplies — I often end up spending an hour in that section alone.n•tHelpful signage and organized aisles so it’s easy to browse by genre or subject.n•tFrequent sales, staff recommendations, and curated displays that make discovery fun.nnIf you enjoy spending time in a mindful, book-filled environment, this is the place to be. I typically spend a couple of hours at a time — browsing, reading, and enjoying the peaceful vibe. Whether you’re buying gifts, hunting for a specific title, stocking up on necessary supplies, or simply want a quiet place to read with a coffee, this Barnes & Noble is perfect.nnHighly recommend this location — great selection, beautiful space, and staff (especially Judith) who truly make it special. If you love books, this is a must-visit. 📚✨
Can't believe how many people were hete shopping. Which is great. Alot of us still buying books. EExcept under religion area they had very little books that I was shopping for. I was told I would have to buy them online. Otherwise I would give 5 stars. I enjoy going in to see what they have.
Great bookstore with a very friendly staff. I've had really good experiences here, it's a clean store with very well organized sections. Anytime I have needed help finding a book the staff has always helped me find exactly what I'm looking for and if they don't have it in stock, they have ordered it for me and had it delivered for me to pick-up.
Would give zero stars if I could, terrible experience. A Caucasian woman with blonde hair approached me as soon as I walked into the store asking if I needed help and telling me about the monthly picks. I politely thanked her for the recommendation but that I already knew what books I wanted to buy. She said okay then went to talk to another customer. A bit later when I was browsing fiction she asked if I needed help and started trying to sell me the monthly picks again, I said she had already told me about them and I wasn’t interested right now. She just gave me a confused look and walked away. After I got my books and was at check out, I saw the same women talking to another customer who looked annoyed that she wasn’t letting them browse and shop on their own. I asked the cashier who that woman was and she said it was the store manager, I was shocked! She was hovering over customers and trying to push titles on them that they were clearly not interested in. All she cared about was trying to sell these certain titles, she didn’t listen to me or other customers in what we were looking for and created an uncomfortable and unpleasant shopping experience. I’d like to buy books in person but I think I’m just gonna stick to online buying where I can shop for what I’m actually interested by in peace and not just harassed to buy a title I don’t even want. Amazon has much better prices anyway.
Nice Barnes & Noble. It's a big store and I feel like the old setup/placement of rows made it easier to find the section(s) your looking for. Now it is a little confusing, but the new setup gives more privacy to each genre.n*in my opinion*nBarnes & Noble is always great though, this one gets 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
