The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. I came in to browse their collections and they gave me useful suggestions. Very happy with my purchase and I will definitely be back!

This book shop is cozy, has really great vibes and very friendly salespeople. It honestly feels like being in a nyc rom com in the very best way. The people who work there are warm, welcoming, and answered all my dumb questions. Sometimes in small shops I feel pressure to buy something, but they seemed happy to let me browse and enjoy the vibes on a cold autumn day.

I was in town and had a free afternoon, I was looking for a gift for my father a professor of philosophy… someone really hard to shop for. They managed to find something that was within my price range and I think that it will be an excellent gift for him!nnI will most definitely be stopping by again when I come back into town!! Definitely recommend anyone to stop by!

I recently visited the store and was really floored to see their entire collection. What a special place with such an approachable staff.

Was very excited to find this store online and having come all the way from Sri Lanka – having only a few days in NYC was looking to purchase some books listed. Unfortunately we weren’t able to visit in person, as we arrived at the shop on a Friday at 5pm – after climbing 7 flights of stairs thinking the elevators weren’t working- we found the door locked even thought the closing time stated 6pm and the phone was going to voice mail. The shop is closed over the weekend and we will be leaving NYC. So won’t be able to purchase any books planned.nnI Hope next time – the stores opening times are updated on this – but I recommend anyone calling ahead before.
