Spoonbill & Sugartown Books

Used to love this store however now i feel extremely uncomfortable – there's a huge bias against Israel plain as day. Bookstores should be a place of learning and solitude not outright antisemitism. Shame on this store and the owners/management

They put their used books in a random pile among their new books and you can’t tell what’s what. When I asked one of the workers which books are used and which are new, she acted like I just asked the stupid question I could have ever asked and was so not straightforward with her answer.nnI’m only writing this review because I had a very similar experience last time in this shop with a different employee.nnWhy the workers are trained to act like you’re intruding on something is beyond me, but I guess they have a lot of books which is the only thing warranting the one star.nnBoth experiences left me sour enough to not want to return here, despite the pretty good selection.

Grear selection of art books, photography book and zines/local publications on top of your regular bookstore stuff. Love the space and atmosphere, rustic and cozy.

What a truly inspiring discovery, recommended by a fine friend who lives locally. Such a wonderfully curated selection of books, covering the spectrum of the arts, design, culture and much more.nnIn the back is a wonderful selection of notebooks, with blank pages to capture your imagination and life.nnFriendly service at the counter and great choice of music playing for when I visited.
