Good to see this location is still here and well kept.nSome of the staff are possibly ex DMV employees lol but most of them are awesome. Everything is clean and well organized.nThe nook section is smaller than it use to be. I guess paper is still king.nThe cafe upstairs has a few seats, but mom’s like making it a daycare center.nNot quiet like a library.nnHoliday sale going on. 50% off on several books. Good Store
We visited this bookstore in Manhattan. It’s small but well kept, with plenty of books to browse through. Unfortunately, no one offered to help us during our visit.nnWe decided to check out the coffee shop upstairs and use the bathroom. Our first encounter was with an older man acting like a cop 🥴 — he told us we couldn’t use the bathroom without a purchase receipt. That was fine, but his attitude was unnecessarily rude.nnThen I went to order a latte and was given a coffee that tasted like water and was cold. I did NOT order an iced coffee! When I went back to let them know, they just stared at me like I was an alien and didn’t say a word. I was so upset I left the cup of “coffee” (water) right there.nnOverall, I do NOT recommend this place. 👎👎👎

Great location on 5th ave, clean, nice environment, quiet location,plenty of help if needed. Nice restroom as well as a nice cafe.
Barnes & Noble is one of those places you can step into and instantly feel at home. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with rows of books that make you want to wander for hours. The staff is friendly, always ready to help you find what you’re looking for, and the store is clean and well-organized. I love that you can grab a coffee, sit down, and actually enjoy the space while you read or work. It’s more than just a bookstore—it’s a spot to slow down and recharge.
