The Second Mile Center

I’ve been coming to this store for years. I used to come with my mom and now I come with my child. I haven’t been in about a year. Yesterday was disappointing for me. I walked into the store with my child and three men were standing by the front entrance near the area where the clothes and items are being checked and cleaned. I know they work in the store because I remember them. As my child is picking a stuffed animal from the free bin, I said a general hello to the guys, they all just stood there and stared, I’m thinking, Okayy, so I said hello/hi again, they literally just continued to stand in the entrance way and stare. I don’t know what that was about but it was off putting, rude and weird. If all three of you big grown men are going to be standing directly in the front where paying customers are coming into the store you might want to greet them or reciprocate a kind gesture. Now that I’m thinking back, I do remember a few encounters of weird/rude energy from the same men who work here. So I think it’s safe to say the men who work in this place are rude.n*update- After reading the other reviews, I believe one of the men is the owner. I do remember seeing this person every time I visit the store. What kind of business owner is unwelcoming and cold to their paying customers? Will not be coming back.

Been coming here for over a year – prices are all over the place for the quality and I’m sick of risking it. If you’re going to take the time and label that something works, repackage it and resell it, be honest and say it’s broken too. Ya’ll know that’s wrong 😠

Went in like a week ago and got a really nice mug and 2 baking dishes for a very reasonable price. One was a very nice glass Pyrex dish. Rating 5 stars because of my good experience, the lady who rang me up was very friendly, and honestly the responses to review on here are kinda hilarious! 😂 Personally I respect a staff that will stand up for there own.nnP.S. all the items I got were 5 and under. There's cool stuff just take a lil time to dig

i buy nearly all my clothes (and shoes!) at second mile. excellent prices, delightful staff, and a huge selection! i can't speak highly enough of this thrift store.

I visited the store with my young daughter. She became thirsty, so I tried to give her a sip of water from a bottle I was carrying. One of the security staff immediately said “excuse me, no food or drink allowed,” but the tone was rude and unnecessary.nnI understand stores have rules, but the situation involved a small child who was simply thirsty. A little politeness and respect would have made a big difference.
