Official synopsis Publisher
First Thing First, Dream is a book that was written and created from journaling during the summer of 2020. I was 10 years old, transitioning from private school, to virtual learning, then to public school during the pandemic.
The pandemic caused additional stress and anxiety to my everyday life. Journaling was a therapeutic technique that helped me overcome and get through the frenzy of wearing masks daily, the excessive hand washing, isolating myself from others, and worrying increasingly about death. I utilized Alexa a great deal and focused on sports to stay in shape.
My parents helped me sort out techniques such as deep breathing, frequency music, and stating daily affirmations, to help with the feeling of anxiety and to overcome the long days of being inside and isolated.
I applied the same techniques which helped me conquer the first day at a new school.
