Destined to be a modern classic, Author Ryan Fredric Steinbeck drew inspiration for “Art Without Description- Ab Initio” from from the places and the people he encountered while traveling the continent seeking inspiration. “The people I meet, there are multitudes of reasons they are frustrated with their place in the world. Technology saturation as well as political dissatisfaction seem to be the primary cause. I think this is the inspiration for the title poem.”The book is witty and light hearted, but also angry, sarcastic, vulnerable, and even self-deprecating. Some of the topics include love, loss, world events, identity crises, isolation, and acceptance.Growing up in southern Wisconsin, Ryan was inspired by music and poetry at an early age, writing his first poem in 1991 for a creative writing class in high school.He has since gone on to write and publish 10 poetry books.
