Freckles, the Rich Dog

Freckles, a top show dog owned by the richest family in town, is unhappy. Katie, his best friend, is too busy with school, new friends, and things like dance and tennis lessons. Freckles is lonely. Even though he lives like a spoiled prince, Freckles thinks he isn’t appreciated or needed anymore. He longs to be free. So, he runs away and finds a friend on the other side of town, where life is very different. Freckles meets Sadie, a poor, lonely, farm girl. She lives with Aunt Elizabeth, who doesn’t really want the girl. Sadie really needs a friend. The rich dog suddenly becomes a hardworking farm dog. Life on the farm teaches Freckles the real meaning of friendship and loyalty. He even becomes a hero in his new life. Unexpectedly, Katie’s family finds out where their beloved dog is. They had offered a large reward for Freckles’s return with no luck. Katie and her parents rush to Aunt Elizabeth’s farm in their limousine to take Freckles home! Freckles suddenly has a big decision to make. Will he go back to a rich dog’s life, or stay with Sadie on the little farm? Freckles makes his choice and surprises everyone.
